Ashes Cricket - Latest Video Game

For all those who are waiting for EA Sports Cricket Game and couldn’t resist waiting for it until 2019, here is the “Ashes Cricket” by Big Ant Studios. Yeah, you’ve read it right, the same company that released Big Bash 2016, which had over 40 Lakhs downloads in the Play Store. Ahead of this year’s Ashes Tournament, the game will be released in November for both Men’s and Women’s, namely Commonwealth Bank Ashes and Magellan Ashes. Though Big Ant Studios previously released Cricket Games like Bradman 2017 and Big Bash 2016, this one is going to be their first-fully licensed game owing to the permissions acquired from Cricket Australia and the England & Wales Cricket Board.

To create an Authentic Game Experience for the players, Ashes Cricket comes with photo-real depictions of all the players from both men’s and women’s teams. 35 DSLR Camera were used to capture every detail of the player, without losing their batting style and selection of shots. This was done extensively when the cameras took almost 10 Lakhs photos, which are combined together using a dedicated algorithm, that’ll show the richness of each player in the game. It took approximately 15 hours, for each player, to get this work done. Currently, Australian Players like Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Mackinley Blows and Emma Inglis, have participated in complex recording process of their movements at Bupa National Cricket Centre.

CEO of Cricket Australia, James Sutherland, believes that this game excites all the young cricket fans across the globe and create a special interest for Ashes Cricket in them, thus enriching their presence. His words “…by working with the likes of Big Ant to develop products that meet this need we are positioning ourselves as leaders in the cricket gaming space globally”, clearly suggests that they want to see them at the top position among other cricket playing nations. To gain audience, they’re planning to release licensed version of Ashes Cricket through XBOX One, XBOZ Live, PS4, Playstation and PC Versions across all countries.  
   
They’ve included a career mode in the game that gives a real-time experience for the player as he has to start from local club and should build up the career by ourselves to secure a position in the International team and make them land with the Ashes Cup. Other options to customize the players and stadiums, which were a basic necessity for the video games, were included as usual like their previous versions. “Time and time again players tell us the feature they love most about our cricket games is the deep customization options,” said Ross Symons, CEO of Big Ant Studios.
